Whitney Laughlin, Ed.D. has over twenty-five years of experience in college admissions and financial aid counseling.  She earned her Master of Education degree from Harvard University in Administration, Planning and Social Policy and Doctorate in Educational Administration and Nonprofit Management from U.C. Berkeley.  Whitney was the founding Executive Director of Southwest College Horizons, a nonprofit organization that helped increase educational opportunities for lower income students throughout the Southwest. She has worked in admissions at Harvard College, conducted research for A Better Chance, and taught on the Yavapai-Apache Reservation.  She was Director of College Counseling at Albuquerque Academy, Verde Valley School, and the Native American Preparatory School.  Whitney is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, Rocky Mountain Association for College Admission Counseling, Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling, and National Association for College Admission Counseling.  She has been a contributing editor to AISES’ Annual College Guide for American Indians, and is founding director of College and Graduate Horizons, which offers pre-college and pre-graduate school summer programs for Native American students.  Visit Whitney's Website.
