Testing Services
Rubin Educational Resourcesspecializes in psychoeducational and psychological testing for children and adolescents. Testing is administered in a comfortable, relaxed environment, and evaluations include DSM-IV and LD/ADHD diagnoses and recommendations appropriate for all educational and therapeutic needs.
Evaluations Include:
- Use of assessment tools that are recognized as valid
- Diagnosis of learning disabilities and AD/HD
- Process and achievement testing
- Assessment of planning and organizational skills
- Documentation of eligibility and accommodations
- Referrals to appropriate professionals
Alice Kahle, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, has worked with children and families for more than ten years. She worked as a pediatric psychologist at one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and has written book chapters, co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles, and developed professional education programs on the psychosocial aspects of chronic illness and disability in childhood. Alice takes an individualized approach to assessment that reflects the unique needs of children and adolescents, and she works from a practice philosophy that emphasizes competencies and strengths. Sheis a member of the American Psychological Association, Society of Pediatric Psychology, and Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. She is also a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Youth Suicide Prevention and provides crisis intervention services in Northern New Mexico.
Bob Walsh, M.A., Diagnostician, has over twenty-five years of experience in education and testing. He has experience as a classroom teacher, curriculum development specialist, special education teacher, and educational consultant. His background includes work with adolescents in residential settings and evaluation and consultation with college students. Bob is well versed in the legal aspects of parental rights, special education procedures, and IEP development. He specializes in diagnosis of all exceptionalities described in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act that includes behavioral/emotional disorders, AD/HD, learning disabilities, and reading disorders. He also specializes in gifted education and educational interventions. Bob is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and is licensed at the instructional leadership level in educational diagnosis, special education, and secondary education.
